The hillside vineyards on our Oakville estate are renowned for producing small berries with intensely flavored juice. This outstanding fruit ensures wines of great depth and character. All of our chardonnay is produced with fruit from our 13-acre estate in the celebrated Los Carneros district.

Oakville Estate - Home to many of the finest wineries in the Napa Valley, Oakville has a well-deserved reputation for producing incredible Cabernet Sauvignons. Our 102-acre hillside estate is home to the Sweeney family, as well as the site of Vine Cliff's state-of-the-art winemaking facilities, and hospitality operations.

The fast-draining rocky, red, volcanic soils provide a high natural level of stress for the vines, allowing them to develop significant structure and flavor intensity. Replanted in 1992-1994, Cabernet Sauvignon comprises the majority of the 25 vineyard acres, with about an acre of Malbec, used primarily for blending. Intensive farming practices coax the best from the estate, vintage after vintage, producing wines that garner both consistently high ratings and the respect of our peers.

Carneros Estate - Cooled by breezes from San Pablo bay, this vineyard is ideally located for growing Chardonnay of excellent quality. Planted in 1998 with six distinct clones, the fruit grown here enables us to produce wines that exhibit the best of both the new and old worlds - acidity and minerality, balanced with opulence and grace.
