The Vine Cliff hundred-acre Estate, along the Silverado Trail, was first established in 1871. It is the home of Vine Cliff’s winemaking facilities, beautiful gardens, guest center and the family. Only 21 acres are planted, dominated by cabernet sauvignon vines for which the Oakville appellation, and especially this bench area, is so renowned. Since the early 2000s, the Estate has welcomed a small number of visitors who have found the history of the winery, its inherent beauty and its dedication to uncompromising quality in the making of its Cabernet, Merlot and other varietals, a truly wonderful story.

LEGACY TOUR AND TASTING

$95 per person | 90 minutes

We invite you to experience our 100 acre estate, nestled in a picturesque canyon above the Silverado Trail. The winemaking legacy on this property dates back to the early 1870s and plays a part in the history of California as Napa Valley’s first premier winery. Tour our winemaking facility, built contiguous with the original 1871 winery that is still in use today, Cabernet vineyards and our 15,000 sq ft caves followed by a tasting in either an outdoor garden setting or inside the winery. Comfortable footwear and seasonally appropriate attire is strongly encouraged as you explore the vineyards and learn the significance of the historic stone wall buildings.
